Decades in the field, not just the framework
Hi, my name is Peter Quayle. I have been programming since the 1980s. In the late 1990s I started developing with Microsoft Access VBA and have worked hands-on with every version of Access released since — from the early Jet-engine days through to today's cloud-connected deployments. That long view matters: I can read a decades-old codebase as comfortably as I can plan its future on Azure.
My work spans software development, ongoing maintenance and support, and platform migrations, with recent projects moving several large Access systems from on-premises servers into Azure. Alongside hands-on development, I've spent many years as a programme manager and Prince2-certified project manager across both the private and public sectors, so I'm equally comfortable leading delivery as I am writing the code.
